• Track & analyze cash position, assist in cash forecasting and reporting of net financial position • Prepare, review and analyze financial information to ensure integrity is maintained • Lead monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Responsible for preparations of journal entries, reconciliations and consolidated IFRS & GAAP financial reporting package to parent company • Supervise and mentor accounting staff • Assist with annual budgeting and monthly forecasting • Prepare tax worksheets and support schedules • Participate in external and internal audits as required • Work closely with operational personnel to achieve company objectives in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, Colas internal policies and other regulatory requirements. • Maintain and develop internal control procedures • Uphold Colas ethics and business principles • Ad hoc projects and reporting as needed
Supervises accounting operations and management analyses: manages general and cost accounting, supervises the execution of operations related to the closing of accounts, participates in management control, analyzes management reports and/or consolidates results, assists operations for the preparation of budgets including the analysis of risks and opportunities, etc.
Supports the operation on the administrative dimension: assists with calls for tenders, ensures the interface between the operational unit manager and the other support functions (legal, IT, etc.)
Ensures the correct application of Group regulations and procedures: develops and implements organizational accounting policies, ensuring compliance with all federal, state/province, local regulations
Relays and/or applies the directives on administrative and accounting matters within his/her scope
Manages the administrative/accounting team: manages teams, recruits, trains, assesses skills, proposes guidelines to the operational unit manager (bonuses, promotions, etc.).
